Andrew Orth, known as Andrew Orth Photos, is a trailblazing American concert and portrait photographer who redefines commercial portrait and music photography. His unique style captures the emotional essence of subjects like musicians, models, actors, and directors. His portfolio includes 13 years of portraits of Taylor Swift, documenting her journey from a childhood starlet to a multi-platinum artist.

After graduating from Temple University’s Radio-TV-Film Department in Philadelphia, Orth relocated to New York City and quickly made a name for himself as a headshot photographer. His work with fashion models and movie actors caught the attention of major production companies. His charismatic approach and distinctive style earned him acclaim in film, fashion, and music. Collaborations with brands like Hugo Boss, L’Oreal, Elite Models, Columbia Pictures, and Warner Bros led to a pivotal role at Chiat-Day, where he pioneered the agency’s first in-house video edit post-production facility, creating award-winning tv content for clients like Apple, Nike, and Porsche.

Seeking inspiration, Orth traveled to Milan, Italy, where European influences enriched his style, allowing him to embrace his subjects with light and depth. Armed with his camera and makeup kit, he honed his talents in the studio and on location, gaining the attention of top agencies that propelled him to further his career back in the states.

By the early 1990s, Orth moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of working in Hollywood. His emotive style led to collaborations with entertainment magazines and talent agencies. His breakthrough came with a shoot for director Mike Newell, ("Four Weddings & a Funeral", Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Donnie Brasco") leading to high-profile photographs of LA’s top directors and actors.Orth’s work is showcased in two self-published volumes, featuring animated portraits of movie, music, and television industry icons. His portraits have been exhibited in museums and galleries, receiving critical acclaim for his unique perspective and creative approach.
